Unfortunately, Josephs life will be taken Monday morning. My personal opinion is that our system failed completely. I believe that this was an extremely serious case that was handled as if an an elderly person was on their death bed. This was not the case! Communication was completely lost between the lawyer and the family. I don't think he should have been taken so suddenly. I believe given the time, that the family and the medical team could have come to a decision. I don't believe there was enough time for doctors and medical researchers to come to their aide and that the courts and medical boards interference made it a threat for this to happen in the meantime. Hopes for the tracheostomy procedure were broken like a glass because of "possible" risks, that were read off 2 the courts like they were going to happen. For this "I" blame the lawyer. I do not believe that the lawyer was experienced or prepared for this case and this is why a life should not be put in any ones hands besides God's. Human error is a fact! What if the family had an experience medical lawyer? What if they had more time to find help? Would Joseph be able to live? Even possibly with a small handicap of loss eye sight, slow reflexes, this is just a handicap. Or if not, at least know that he is getting worse. Right now in my eyes and from the looks of him he has grown, very healthy appearing body image, still moving and by this I mean he moves his legs back and forth, he can squeeze your finger, he opened his big beautiful eyes and was so excited have his family there. " NOT" twitches or muscles spasms. If only people would visit this child I swear they would realize that this child should not be TAKEN. I think that the parents 100% are aware of any complications with Joseph and would "NEVER", put Joseph in a life of misery.
